HE/DB07 40 mm x 46 Door-Breacher

The HE/DB07 40 mm x 46 door-breaching grenade is designed to defeat doors while causing minimum collateral damage. The cartridge consists of a warhead with a point detonating fuze and a high explosive filler and a separate propulsion unit.
Other features of this grenade include
- A 45 g hexogen-wax mixture high explosive charge
- The capability to defeat booby traps attached to the targeted door.
- The ability to be used as a "room cleaner", much like an offensive hand grenade (0.2 bar pressure at 3 meters).
The projectile body and rotating band are manufactured as a single component, and are made of a special plastic composition. This material reduces friction between the projectile and the barrel for a longer barrel life and greater accuracy. The projectile body contains the impact fuze, which uses a pyrotechnic self-destruct mechanism. In the case of a "soft impact" (e.g. impact against snow, mud, etc.), the fuze will be ignited by the self-destruct mechanism after roughly 10 seconds. This results in the exact same detonation as a normal impact, thereby rendering the device safe.
Key characteristics
- Blast effect (0.20 bar at 3 m)
- Ballistically matched to other Arges HE cartridges
- Minimal fragmentation effect
- Twice the explosive fill of standard HE rounds
